Location. The Millennium Knickerbocker hotel stands one half block from famed shopping at Michigan Avenue's Magnificent Mile. Two blocks from the hotel are Oak Street boutique shopping, Rush Street nightlife, Water Tower Place and the John Hancock Building. Hotel Features. Restored to original 1927 era condition, this hotel showcases crystal chandeliers affixed to wood paneled ceilings, canopied brass medallions and an Art Deco marble floor. Nightly live jazz accompanies over 50 varieties of the martini in the adjacent bar. The on site Nix bistro serves Pacific Rim cuisine, also available 24 hours for in room dining. Flexible meeting space includes a Georgian style grand ballroom with an illuminated dance floor and gilded dome ceiling. The business center provides wired and wireless Internet access and photocopy, print and fax services for a fee. The hotel's fitness center boasts cardiovascular and strength training equipment.
Guestrooms. The Millennium Knickerbocker's 305 guestrooms are decorated in European and Asian influenced d�cor. Amenities include a 27 inch television with complimentary premium channels, CD players and high speed Internet access for a fee. Minibars are stocked with refreshments upon arrival. Other complimentary offerings include daily newspapers and shoeshine services.
Expert Tip. Upon request, bell staff provide guided tours through Al Capone's regular gambling haunts on the 14th floor. The hotel also boasts a secret passageway the prohibition era gangster and his cronies used to escape several police raids.
