Location. Housed in the 1929 Carbide & Carbon Building, the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago is positioned in the Chicago (Ill.) Loop business and theatre districts on Michigan Avenue across from Millennium Park. Chicago Theatre and Grant Park are one block from the hotel and the Wrigley Building is three blocks away. The Art Institute of Chicago is five blocks from the property and Navy Pier is within one quarter mile.
Hotel Features. The bronze and Belgian marbled lobby features studio lighting and Art Deco furnishings representing the Chicago nightlife scene. Chic atmosphere ensues at the China Grill restaurant, serving dramatically presented world cuisine, and the BASE bar and lounge, boasting signature drinks and live DJs. Meeting areas within the hotel are equally modern, with box seating and plasma screens. Wired Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel's 24 hour business center and fitness center with cardiovascular equipment. A Hard Rock Retail Store is also on the property. The former main lobby of the original building overlooks Michigan Avenue and now serves as the hotel's elevator lobby, leading to private guestrooms on 37 floors.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the hotel present views of Michigan Avenue and the Chicago River. Flat screen televisions rest on entertainment centers that house five disk CD/DVD players. Wired and wireless Internet access is complimentary. Rooms are outfitted with feather top bedding, minibars and dressers, music themed artwork and snakeskin leather seating with ottomans.
